Terms of Use

Rules for accounts, community contributions, responsible use, moderation and the limits of community-provided venue information.

Effective: August 9, 2026 · Version 1.0

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and the operator of BeerHero identified as the seller/provider on the applicable App Store product page (“BeerHero,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.

If you downloaded BeerHero through Apple, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies unless a valid custom EULA is presented in App Store Connect. Platform terms prevail only for your relationship with that platform.

2. Eligibility and responsible use

You may use BeerHero only if you are at least 18, meet the legal drinking age in your location, and can legally enter this agreement. BeerHero does not sell, deliver or facilitate the purchase of alcohol. Never use the Service to evade age restrictions, local alcohol rules or venue policies. Drink responsibly; do not drink and drive.

3. What BeerHero provides

BeerHero displays maps, venue information, community-submitted prices, happy hours, check-ins, notes, ratings and leaderboards. Information may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate or unavailable. A displayed “lowest price,” trust score, badge or verification is a community signal—not a guarantee, endorsement, contract, offer or professional advice. Confirm prices, availability, allergens, opening hours and access directly with the venue before relying on them.

We may change, suspend or discontinue features, geographic coverage, scoring rules or integrations. We do not guarantee continuous availability.

4. Accounts and security

You are responsible for your account activity and for keeping access to your Apple/Google account and device secure. Provide accurate information, use one account unless authorized otherwise, and notify us of suspected compromise. Usernames must not impersonate others, violate rights or mislead the community.

You may delete your account from Profile. Deletion consequences are explained in the Privacy Policy. We may require reasonable reauthentication to prevent unauthorized deletion.

5. Your content and license

You retain ownership of original content you submit. You represent that you have the rights and lawful basis necessary to submit it and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

You grant BeerHero a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, format, analyze, translate, moderate, display and distribute that content solely to operate, secure, improve and promote the Service. The license ends when the content is deleted. Published community contributions may remain after account deletion as explained in the Privacy Policy, while backups pending rotation and records required by law or for claims may be retained.

Menu/venue photos must be your own or submitted with permission. Do not upload logos, menus, photos or text in a way that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or database rights. To report claimed infringement, use Support and identify the work, material, location, contact details and good-faith basis.

6. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • submit fabricated prices, fake check-ins, manipulated evidence, undisclosed advertising or coordinated votes;
  • harass, threaten, hate, shame, stalk or expose private information;
  • impersonate a user, venue, moderator or BeerHero;
  • upload unlawful, infringing, sexually exploitative, violent or malicious material;
  • scrape, reverse engineer, overload, probe or bypass security, rate limits, location checks, moderation or access controls;
  • use bots, multiple accounts or incentives to manipulate rankings, badges or trust;
  • use BeerHero to promote unsafe alcohol consumption or activity involving minors.

7. Community moderation and reports

BeerHero provides reporting tools, moderation review, account restrictions and content removal. We may investigate, reduce trust weight, hide, reject, remove or preserve content and may warn, suspend or ban accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law or maintain service integrity.

Moderation is contextual and may not be immediate. Reports must be made in good faith; abusing reports is itself a violation. You may appeal through the in-app ticket system. BeerHero does not undertake a general obligation to monitor every submission.

8. Third-party services and venues

Maps, place details, photos, sign-in and menu analysis may be supplied by Apple, Google or other providers under their own terms. BeerHero is independent from listed venues and is not responsible for venue conduct, products, pricing, safety or accessibility. External links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement.

9. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and community information are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that content is current, that a venue will honor a price or happy hour, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer guarantees or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BeerHero and its operator, personnel and service partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, lost profits/data, venue disputes, alcohol-related harm, or reliance on community information. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid BeerHero in the preceding twelve months or the minimum amount required by law.

This limitation does not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death/personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that applicable law prohibits us from limiting.

11. Suspension, termination and changes

You may stop using BeerHero at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, security risk, legal requirement or material harm to the community. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an appeal path. Provisions that by nature should survive—including licenses for retained/de-identified content, disclaimers, liability limits and dispute terms—survive termination.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified reasonably and, where required, accepted before continued use. If you do not agree, stop using and delete your account.

12. Applicable law, disputes and contact

These Terms are governed by the mandatory laws applicable to the operator and your place of residence. Nothing deprives you of non-waivable consumer rights or access to competent consumer authorities and courts. Before formal proceedings, contact us so we can try to resolve the matter.

Support and legal notices: support@beerhero.app or Profile → Contact BeerHero. The operator’s full legal name and registered notice address must be added before commercial release.

Apple is not responsible for the Service, support, maintenance, claims or third-party infringement matters except as required by Apple’s applicable platform terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are intended third-party beneficiaries of any app license terms to the extent required by the App Store.
